Whilst we do not express a particular preference for any one type of Betting Bank
we have listed two for consideration below, both have their merits, it is your
choice if you wish to use one of these methods or perhaps you wish to use one of
your own. The first, Level Stakes Bank is very good if you encounter a losing
streak. The second, Rolling Bank is very good during winning streaks.
Which type of bank and what proportion of the bank you choose to stake is of course
entirely up to you? We would suggest you stake a maximum of 5% of total bank, but
we emphasize that this is just a recommendation; the actual amount is entirely up to you.
- Level Stakes Bank.
This is a very simple betting bank to use, you simply only ever bet 5% of your
original bank no matter what the outcome of the bet. For example if your betting
bank is £1000 then every bet you placed would be a total of £50
- Rolling Bank.
Again in this example we use 5% stake.
If for example you had a betting bank of £1000 then your first bet would be £50
(5% of £1000). Say this bet lost, your bank would now be £950 and your next bet
would be £45 (5% of £950). In this example the bet wins at 3/1, you get back your
original stake plus 3 times the stake (3 x £45), so now your bank stands at £1085
(£950 + £135). The next bet would be £54.25 (5% of £1085), say this
comes in at 8/1 you will now have a betting bank of £1519 (£1085 + £434)
and so on.
